GOSPOOL Terms & Conditions

GOSPOOL (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”) connects people who want prayer or spiritual counselling (“Users”) with verified pastors and ministers (“Pastors”) in real time, by video call.

GOSPOOL is a technology platform that facilitates this connection. We are not a church, a counselling agency, a medical provider, or a mental health service, and we do not supervise, direct, or control what is said or done during a session. Nothing on this platform is a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, or emergency care — if you are in crisis or in danger, please contact your local emergency services.

Seed Offerings are entirely voluntary. A Seed Offering is a gift you may choose to give a Pastor after a session, and only through the Platform’s own Seed Offering feature. You are never required to give one, no Pastor may condition prayer, counselling, or any part of a session on receiving one, and giving a Seed Offering does not entitle you to any guaranteed outcome.

Revealing contact information is your choice, and at your own risk. During or after a session, you may choose to reveal your contact details to a Pastor, or a Pastor’s to you. Once contact information has been revealed, any further contact, relationship, arrangement, or dispute between you and that Pastor — whether it continues on the Platform or entirely outside it — is solely between the two of you. GOSPOOL is not a party to it, does not monitor it, and is not liable for anything that happens as a result of it.

You agree to treat Pastors with respect, and not to use the Platform for harassment, abuse, fraud, or any unlawful purpose.

Conduct. By joining GOSPOOL, you agree to conduct yourself, at all times on this Platform, in the manner expected of someone genuinely saved by and walking with Jesus Christ — with integrity, humility, and the fear of God. You represent Christ to every person you speak with here, often in a vulnerable moment of their life.

Confidentiality. Everything shared with you by a User during a session is confidential. You agree not to disclose, repeat, record, or use it for any purpose outside that session, except where required by law (for example, to prevent serious harm to someone).

You are personally liable for your own conduct. You are solely and personally responsible for everything you say and do on this Platform and in any session, including anything that happens after contact information is exchanged. GOSPOOL is not liable for your conduct, and you agree to indemnify and hold GOSPOOL harmless against any claim, loss, or damages arising from it.

You agree never to ask a User for money, a gift, or any form of payment, directly or indirectly, during a session. Seed Offerings may only ever flow from a User to you voluntarily, through the Platform’s own feature. You also agree never to request a User’s phone number, email, or any other contact detail — if a User wishes to share theirs, that has to come from them, unprompted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GOSPOOL, its founders, and staff are not liable for: the content, quality, accuracy, or outcome of any prayer or counselling session; the conduct of any User or Pastor, on or off the Platform; any dispute, harm, loss, or damage arising between a User and a Pastor, including after contact information has been exchanged; interruptions, errors, or failures in video calls or other third-party services the Platform relies on (including Paystack, Twilio, and Daily.co); or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind connected to your use of the Platform.

The Platform is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

If you experience or witness misconduct, you can report it from within a call, or by contacting us. We may investigate, and may suspend or remove any account, at our discretion, for violating these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use GOSPOOL after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
